Microsoft Forefront Product Licensing
The following products are offered on a subscription basis, requiring the purchase of a User/Device Subscription License (USL) or a Services Subscription License (SSL).
- Microsoft Forefront Client Security: Malware protection for business desktops, laptops and server operating systems that's easier to manage and control.
- Microsoft Forefront Client Security Management Console: Easy management of Forefront Client Security.
- Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server: Multi-engine protection against the latest e-mail threats.
- Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint with SP1: Protection and control for collaboration servers.
- Microsoft Forefront Server Security Management Console: Easy management of Forefront Security for Exchange Server, Forefront Security for SharePoint, and Microsoft Antigen.
The following product is offered on a perpetual, per-processor basis
- Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006: Integrated edge security gateway that helps protect IT environments from Internet-based threats while providing users with fast and secure remote access to applications and data.
The following product is offered on a perpetual basis, with a server license and a client access license (CAL)
- Microsoft Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007: Comprehensive, secure remote access gateway that provides secure socket layer (SSL)-based application access and protection with endpoint security management.
Microsoft Forefront Licensing Suites
Microsoft Forefront Security Suite offers a powerful combination of on-premise and off-premise security solutions that provides comprehensive, integrated, and simplified protection of a customer's IT infrastructure. The suite consists of the following products: Forefront Client Security, Forefront Security for Exchange Server, Forefront Security for SharePoint with SP1, Antigen for Instant Messaging (IM), and Exchange Hosted Filtering. The Forefront Security Suite is available on the price list July 1, 2007, and is complemented by a migration promo for existing customers from July 1, 2007, through December 31, 2007.
